Buddy Hudson, Founder
Grand Master Buddy Hudson, a 9th-degree black belt in Taekwondo and American Karate, is recognized as one of the top martial arts trainers in the world. In 1982, he founded Professional Black Belt Academy, and today serves as its CEO. He has been featured in Martial Arts Masters & Pioneers and The World’s Greatest Martial Artists: Volume 2. With over 40 years of experience, he has trained thousands of students to nationally certified black belt and instructor levels while guiding the next generation of martial arts leaders.
Throughout his career, Grand Master Hudson trained under and alongside some of the most influential figures in martial arts, including Taekwondo Founder General Hong Hi Choi, the Father of American Taekwondo Grand Master Jhoon Rhee, and the Father of American Karate Grand Master J. Pat Burleson. He has been inducted into both the International Karate Hall of Fame and the Masters Hall of Fame, and has served as President of the United Taekwondo Alliance and the United States Taekwondo Federation—cementing his legacy as a pioneer, champion, and leader in the martial arts world.
Iliana Laprea, Chief Instructor
Ileana Laprea, Chief Instructor of Pro Black Belt Academy Little Elm, is a decorated martial artist with over 15 years of teaching experience. Originally from Venezuela, she is a two-time National Gold Medalist in Sparring, a Pan American & Caribbean Games Champion, and a former member of the Venezuelan National Team.
Known for her incredible technique and her warm, encouraging approach, Mrs. Laprea brings the same love, care, and dedication she gives her family—her husband and son—into every class. She has a gift for connecting with kids, challenging them to grow while keeping classes fun, energetic, and inspiring. Her ability to balance discipline with joy makes her both admired and beloved by her students and families.

Alan Ellen II
Sr. Vice President, Professional Black Belt Association
Master Alan Ellen II, a 6th Degree Black Belt and Senior Vice President of Professional Black Belt Association, has devoted his life to martial arts since the age of 11. A nationally ranked competitor in his youth and former academy owner, he brings decades of experience in TaeKwonDo, Jiu Jitsu, and tactical training to his role as owner and head instructor of Pro Black Belt Academy – Melissa. Known for his high standards, deep technical knowledge, and ability to inspire students of all ages, Master Ellen is committed to building strong martial artists and strong community leaders.

Jared Grice Hudson
Director of Instructor Development & Classroom Training
Jared Grice Hudson, Director of Training and owner of Pro Black Belt Academy – Prosper, is a 4th Degree Black Belt, 5-time National Champion, and International Gold Medalist. A Nationally Certified Instructor, he combines his achievements in Taekwondo, American Karate, Boxing, and CrossFit with a passion for teaching. Recognized as both a top athlete and an inspiring coach, Jared leads by example, helping students build skill, confidence, and discipline on and off the mat.

Kayla Grice Hudson
Director of Professional Black Belt Franchise Operations
Kayla Grice Hudson serves as Advisor and Operations Manager for Professional Black Belt Academy Franchising, helping guide the growth and success of academies across the organization. As Co-Owner of Pro Black Belt Prosper, she is dedicated to creating a supportive, family-focused environment for students and parents alike.
